Computer Science & Information Technology Symposium - 2004

ACM and ISTE co-hosted The Computer Science & Information Technology Symposium 2004 (http://www.acm.org/education/k12/csits/) on March 6, 2004, in Norfolk Virginia (during the ACM SIGCSE 2004 Conference). This was a great opportunity for free professional development for high school computer science and computer applications teachers, featuring concurrent and general sessions focused on critical issues for teachers including:

  • Java Case Study
  • Web Resources
  • Attracting Women to Computing
  • Building a CS Curriculum

The Computer Science and Information Technology Symposium provides professional development opportunities for Grade 9–12 computer science and computer applications teachers who need practical, relevant information to help them prepare their students for the future. For more information visit http://www.acm.org/education/k12/csits/.

Please Note: Next year we will be providing two Computer Science and Information Technology symposia for teachers:

Saturday February 26th, 2005 — St. Louis, MO in conjunction with SIGCSE
Sunday June 26th, 2005 — Philadelphia, PA in conjunction with NECC
