Over 70% of secondary students currently own cell phone in the United States. While schools are writing policies to keep the growing number of cell phones out of the learning environment, they may be missing an opportunity to take advantage of this “Swiss army knife” of learning tools.  The mobile phone is an inexpensive 21st Century tool that has the potential to connect in school learning with student’s everyday experiences outside of school.  Please join ISTE author and technology educator Liz Kolb in this webinar to explore various ways that cell phones can be used for learning, as well as some examples of how teachers are using them throughout the world.

Furthermore, we will discuss some of the well-publicized concerns with cell phones and student use.
