Author Slideshows & Texas Wildlife—Thematic Multimedia Projects
by Susan Monahan and Dee Susong
In an after-school computer club, the challenge of creating multimedia presenatations motivates all students (even those with disabilities) to research, read, and write. The projects improved both basic skills and self-esteem by teaching students to use technology and to help peers and teachers with technology troubleshooting. The two projects Susan and Dee describe in this article provide valuable models for training students and teachers about technology and incorporating it into the curriculum.
