Permissions & ReprintsIntroductionAll material published by ISTE is protected under copyright law. If you would like to reproduce all or part of a book, journal, or Web content published by ISTE—including illustrations, diagrams, and graphics—for use in other publications, course packets, Web sites, electronic products, and all other media, you must first request permission to do so. Scroll down or use the quick links below to access the section you wish to view.
Do I Need Permission?Unless your use constitutes "fair use," you must obtain permission to reproduce material published by ISTE, including material from out–of–print titles. For an explanation of fair use, visit http://fairuse.stanford.edu/ . As a general rule, when in doubt, seek permission. Please note that acknowledging the source of copyrighted material is not a substitute for obtaining permission. Consent to copy content does not extend to embedded material (photos, illustrations, figures, etc.). Please submit a separate request for this material. If the copyright is held by another party, the Permissions Editor will refer you to the appropriate copyright holder. A request to adapt material should be accompanied by a copy of the adaptation.
