Why have more than 80 percent of U.S. states adopted, adapted, or referenced ISTE's NETS in state department of education documents (more... PDF, 109KB, 9 seconds, PDF instructions)?
Because the NETS are sensible, usable, measurable—and they support states' content standards. The National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) publishes this premier journal for state policymakers and education decision makers. Co-authored by NETS Project Director Lajeane Thomas and ISTE's CEO Don Knezek, the article is reprinted here (PDF, 224KB, 17 seconds, PDF instructions) by permission of NASBE.
