"We have deep misgivings about the Administration's decision to 'consolidate' the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) program in the FY 11 budget," said ISTE CEO Don Knezek in a statement released February 3, 2010. "This decision removes direct funding for education technology at a critical time. We do, however, commend the Obama Administration's stated commitment to infuse technology throughout PK-12 education and we look forward to working with the Administration and Congress to make this vision a reality."

Titled New Approaches to Optimizing ARRA, the webinar also included a report from a Florida junior high on its stimulus request. The webinar is available free until December 30, 2009.

ISTE's NETS for Students, the widely recognized and adopted education technology standards, were updated in 2007 to reflect the rapid changes in technology, instruction, and learning environments.
