ISTE 100 member, Intel, is now taking applications for its yearly Schools of Distinction Award. Schools in the United States have an opportunity to win a $10,000 cash grant along with hardware, software, and curriculum materials by demonstrating "their extraordinary commitment to educational excellence based on their innovative programs in math and science." ISTE is an affiliate sponsor of this grant program.

Given to young women who are juniors and seniors in several metropolitan
areas of the United States, the award includes $500 cash, travel, and a laptop computer.

The Innovation America Foundation, with support from ISTE 100 member Apple Inc., is offering iPod Shuffles and other prizes to 15 teams of high school students for the best 45-second video spot on the topic of innovation. Deadline for team registrations is October 19. Videos must be submitted by November 2.
