iste's technology in practice webinar series

Technology in Practice, ISTE’s continuing Webinar Series, will feature seven highly engaging Webinars over the course of 2007-2008. Each Webinar will feature a Web 2.0 tool of wide appeal to ISTE members and non-members alike. Each session will be at least 60 minutes in length, with nearly a full hour of presenter content. The balance of the session will feature interactive elements such as audience Q&A and polls, and previews of upcoming ISTE Webinar events. The theme of the series, Technology in Practice, will highlight practical tools and strategies to help educators most effectively improve the educational experience and capture value from new and existing technology investments.

Popular NECC presenter Dr. Howie DiBlasi kicked off the series on October 9, 2007, with the first Webinar on Tools for the Digital Kids: Podcasting.

Your host for the Technology in Practice Webinar Series is Bard Williams, EdD. Bard is a veteran educator, a writer, and a technology “explorer” who believes, like many educators, that nothing is more exciting than seeing enthusiastic teachers use technology to guide motivated learners toward new ideas and new horizons.

He is the author of 13 books including ISTE’s new release, The Educator's Podcast Guide, the bestselling Palm Handheld Computers: A Complete Resource for Classroom Teachers (as co-author, 2002), ISTE’s We’re Getting Wired, We’re Going Mobile, What’s Next? (2003), IDG’s award-winning The Internet for Teachers (1999), and more than 300 articles. He is also a certified Palm Education Training Provider (PETP).

In his spare time, Bard recharges his energy by speaking at educational conferences, teaching, and running a Silicon Valley education and creative marketing and consulting company called Techthree (http://www.techthree.com). Join Bard as we welcome these Webinar presenters:
