Local districts and nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for nearly $650m in competitive grants focused on scaling up, validating, and developing innovative programs. The occasion was a summit sponsored by ISTE, CoSN, SETDA, and SIIA. In a statement released by the four organizations ISTE CEO Don Knezek said, "We're encouraged by the shared vision for American schools that are more relevant, engaging, and globally competitive. According to the report, an "overwhelming majority of Americans (92%) use multiple platforms on a typical day" including broadcast, print and online sources.
