Digital Citizenship: Using Technology Appropriately

Web site by Mike Ribble, author of Digital Citizenship in Schools and upcoming Raising a Digital Child (ISTE publications).  The Web site provides an overview to digital citizenship and includes a list of publications and a blog focusing on digital citizenship.

Digizen.org

A Childnet International (UK-based organization) Web site providing information about digital citizenship.  The Web site also has a digital citizenship widget that can be personalized and uploaded to social networking sites.  The Web site focuses on resources and advice for digital citizenship, social networking, and cyberbullying. 

Digital Citizen Project

A Cafesociety.org project linking students in Hull, England, with students in Freetown, Sierra Leone.  The project uses film and new media, with a theme of digital citizenship to develop a relationship between the two schools.  

Cyberethics for Kids

Web site from the U.S. Department of Justice aimed at teaching kids to be good digital citizens.  Includes an online quiz around ethical questions. 

Cyberethics for Teachers

Web site from the U.S. Department of Justice, featuring a digital citizenship lesson plan for teachers to use with elementary and middle school children.
