About the ISTE Focus Group

Through a unique program for ISTE members, educational product designers from the ISTE 100 will ask for your suggestions, thoughts, and opinions about which ed tech products and services would best help you integrate technology into your curriculum. This ISTE Focus Group is a convenient way to have your say! Please volunteer to be an ISTE mission contributor by joining the Focus Group.

Who are the ISTE Focus Group?

Volunteers in the focus group are ISTE members who are professional leaders in technology and who can help ensure that future commercial products and programs have a positive impact on teaching and learning. ISTE Focus Group participants want to keep companies informed of the most effective ways to use technology in the classroom and to help them identify innovations that are truly needed in the field.

Who are the ISTE 100?

ISTE 100 companies represent industry leaders in the educational technology field. These companies, by becoming members of ISTE 100, have committed to work closely with ISTE toward our mutual goal of improving education through the appropriate use of technology.

What happens when I join the Focus Group?

ISTE members can join the Focus Group by using the subscribe option at the top of this page. After signing up, you will receive e-mail from ISTE 100 companies offering opportunities to participate and giving specific instructions about how to communicate directly with them. An ISTE 100 company might send you an e-mail message looking for general input such as response to a survey; or they may ask for volunteers for specific projects, such as "middle school math specialists needed to evaluate new materials." Each e-mail will have specific instructions about how to respond to those requests that interest you and links to the specific survey or project source.

No back-and-forth dialogue takes place through the Focus Group e-mail list server. You will work directly with the ISTE 100 partner on those projects that you choose to participate in. Members will not be overwhelmed with requests (maximum 4 per month). ISTE 100 companies may not use the Focus Group to advertise or sell products. Members may withdraw from the program at any time using the unsubscribe option on the top of this page.
