Why are you an educator?
Learning a new skill and then passing it on is one of the greatest gifts we can give a person. I truly enjoy seeking new information, learning everything I can about it and then having an opportunity to teach it to someone else.
How does ISTE enhance your professional development?
First finding ISTE through Second Life, I attended numerous events on ISTE Island that have challenged me both personally and professionally. Not only has it helped me grow, but has also sent many great opportunities my way due to the networking and strong community ties.
How do you see technology driving change in ed tech in the next decade?
I believe we live in a time where technology is booming in the education world and it is very exciting to watch teachers and students grow while using it. I can see technology changing the way we think about how a classroom looks, not only in its equipment but also in it's methods.
