ISTE's Recruit-a-Member Campaign Raffle Winners
Quarter 2
Congratulations to the second quarter's raffle winners, Sue Walter (left) and her recruiter, Karen Ethier (right). Sue has won an iPod nano and Karen has won an iPod video!

Karen and Sue are long-time friends who work in neighboring Sonora High and Sonora Elementary Schools, respectively, in Sonora, California. By recruiting Sue, Karen brought another dedicated educator into the ISTE community.
Says Karen about why she spreads the word about ISTE, "I joined ISTE when I attended NECC in Seattle in 1997 because I was excited about the development of the NETS, and because NECC was the most amazing conference I’d ever attended. Our librarian and I had nearly front-row seats for Bill Gates’ keynote speech, and we sat next to Kathy Schrock (who was still a librarian at that time!) Since then, I have referenced ISTE and the NETS in virtually every professional development activity I’ve been a part of in our region. The resources on the website and in L&L magazine are terrific!"
After Karen showed Sue the ISTE website and introduced her to the NETS standards, Sue knew she wanted to be a part of ISTE. She says, "I joined ISTE for many reasons including to continue getting the magazine Leading and Learning with Technology, to keep up to date on the latest in Ed Tech, and because I thought it would help me in my job as Tech Coordinator."
Remember, the third quarter of this campaign has begun! Be sure to keep recruiting for your chance to win an iPod video!
For each new member you recruit, you increase your chances of winning the quarterly raffle prize. The second quarter lasts until October 14, 2007, so start getting the word out about ISTE!
