Vicki Kajioka, Director, Advanced Technology Research Branch, Receives National Recognition Award for Making IT Happen in Educational Technology

Vicki Kajioka, Director, Advanced Technology Research Branch, HI Department of Education, was honored with the coveted Making IT Happen jacket for her contributions to the successful integration of technology in education in K−12 schools. While attending the Hawaii DOE E-School Conference at the Hawaii Convention Center, Vicki Kajioka was honored by ISTE and Making IT Happen Sponsors for her dedication to education and successful integration of technology in the classroom. During the award ceremony, Vicki was described as an early implementer of technology in education. She was one of the primary writers of the Hawaii E-School Technology Innovation Challenge Grant. Through her efforts E-School offers 40 courses per year to over 400 students state-wide. Vicki (left) is pictured here with Making IT Happen founder Pat Walkington.
