Personal Statement:
My first years as a classroom teacher were in a school
where poverty
and violence were the baseline, and the experiences at this
school still
color my goals and my everyday actions. Technology isn’t
computers
and networks and software. Technology is opportunity. Technology
speaks
to the children of today. Schools, teachers, and curriculum need
to incorporateembracetechnology
and in so doing reach out and engage children in new
ways.
