[Photo]Ann Cunningham, Ph.D.—SIG Representative

Ann Cunningham is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she has taught Educational Technology and Educational Psychology for the past five years. Before joining the faculty at Wake Forest University, Ann was a Clinical Faculty member in the Department of Instruction and Teacher Education in the College of Education at the University of South Carolina-Columbia. Ann's interest in technology and teacher education developed during her six years as a teacher in a rural, South Carolina high school English classroom. Her work is now focused on preparing future teachers to integrate technology into teaching and learning so that they can enter classrooms and help all students reach academic success.

Ann's recent projects, program development, and activities include a partnership in a PT3 grant promoting the development of technology-enhanced, inquiry-based instructional activities; liaison for the ISTE NETS•T Distinctive Achievement Award to Wake Forest University; directorship of a week-long summer institute for teachers and technology; President of the ISTE Special Interest Group for Teacher Educators for the past two years; participation in the Award-winning Pioneer Mentor Program for four years; and development of technology integration strategies and portfolio development for the Education programs at Wake Forest University.
