Kyle L. Peck—Teacher Education Representative
Dr. Kyle L. Peck is a Professor of Education and currently serves as Associate Dean for Outreach, Technology, and International Programs at Penn State University, and was the Co-Founder of the innovative "Centre Learning Community Charter School." He recently completed his term as President of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), and is also a Past President of AECT's Pennsylvania affiliate, PAECT. Before coming to Penn State, Dr. Peck taught middle school for seven years, and was involved in corporate training for five years. He has been on the Penn State faculty for seventeen years, and is co-author of two books, over 40 book chapters and journal articles, and four education-related software programs. He is a popular speaker, and has made more than 230 presentations at professional conferences.
Dr. Peck was Project Director of the "AECT Project," a catalyst grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to use Technology (PT3) program, and also served as the Project Manager of the "Link to Learn Professional Development Project," a statewide initiative to prepare educational professionals to use today's global computer networks effectively. The project produced a professional development web site, and produced and distributed over 45,000 copies of a professional development CD-ROM to teachers in Pennsylvania.
