Diane W. Doersch
Experience:
I am a true computer geek. I have worked with the very simple word
processing
documents to full-blown multimedia extravaganzas. I am particularly a
fan of
iMovie for kid/adult-friendly video production, but also enjoy Adobe
Premiere
for the high level users.
I became versed in DreamWeaver and FireWorks when I became webmaster
for our
middle school site, www.neenah.k12.wi.us/schools/shattuck.
I teach HyperStudio, MicroWorlds, PowerPoint, and web page design to
students
at the middle level. I advise a computer club after school so have
more time
to work with our digital cameras, scanners, VCRs, and digital
camcorders for
community or school service projects.
In my fifteen years of teaching, technology has been a very important
tool
in how I deliver my instruction and how I teach students to learn to
use technology
as a way of life. I enjoy networking with others with similar ideas
and enthusiasm
for technology in education.
Degrees and fields of study/expertise:
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a BS
in elementary
education. I earned my masters degree in Technology in Education from
Lesley
University Outreach, Cambridge, MA.
