Paul Skiera
Experience:
I completed both my undergraduate and graduate studies at Arizona
State University.
I received my Bachelor's in Finance in 1991 and completed my Master's
in Educational
Media and Technology in 2002. Before returning to graduate school I
created
and operated an independent consulting firm, Educational Computer
Consulting.
Our company produced several multimedia educational products,
including instructional
software for teaching elementary students basic computer literacy. We
also created
a multimedia CD-ROM to accompany an Allyn & Bacon mathematics
textbook.
I joined Technology Based Learning and Research in the College of
Education
at Arizona State University to focus on the field of educational
technology.
As a project manager, I oversaw the production of Instructional Media
Design,
the first accredited, college-level instructional CD-ROM. The program
was a
finalist in the 1994 NewMedia Invision Awards. I supervised the
production of
several multimedia CD-ROM programs, including Math Discourse Product,
Understanding
Teaching, and Hispanic Math Project. In 1997 I was recognized by A/V
Multimedia
Magazine as one of the Top 100 Multimedia Producers in the World.
