SIGTE is the Special Interest Group for Teacher Educators involved in educational technology. SIGTE provides a forum for you to share your success, raise questions, and meet the challenge of helping other professionals use technology to enhance learning and education. Each quarterly issue of the Journal of Computing in Teacher Education contains refereed articles on preservice and inservice training, research in computer education issues and technology integration standards, and reviews of training materials and texts.

Please review our most updated version of the SIGTE Leadership and Management Guidelines (PDF, 206 KB, 33 seconds, PDF Instructions). These guidelines serve as a blueprint for the operation of our SIG to provide for smooth leadership transitions and clear communication with members as well as with ISTE. We recognize that this document is living, and therefore it will be reviewed annually by the SIGTE leadership to ensure it communicates what SIGTE is all about. If members have comments, questions, or clarifications, please direct them to Melissa Pierson at mpierson@uh.edu.
