Tools4writing
Catherine Suen
1 June 2004

Teachers from the Edmonton Public School District of Alberta, Canada, participated in a "telecollaborative" project on writing. Eleven teachers from six schools joined the project from October, 2003 to March, 2004. The goal of the project was to have students learn to write competently and fluently through telelearning. Students of participating schools were asked to use an on-line Message Board within the project website (Tools4writing) to communicate with fellow students in writing. The project was evaluated by both students and teachers and was perceived by them to be a resounding success.
