2009 ISTE SIG Media Specialist Technology Innovation Award
This annual award sponsored by Linworth Publishing, Inc. and Follett Software Company will be presented to three teams of a school librarian and collaborating teacher who have conducted an exemplary technology program extending beyond the library to meet the needs of classroom students and teachers. The purpose of this award is to identify, promote, and sustain excellence in collaborative and innovative technology-based projects driven by the school library media center in support of curricular and instructional needs in elementary, middle, and high schools. 2009 SIGTE Research Paper Award
This award by ISTE's Teacher Educator Special Interest Group recognizes excellence in research in the area of technology and teacher education. All research papers accepted for presentation at NECC, including those selected for both the research paper and round table categories, are eligible for the SIGTE Research Paper Award. 2009 SIGTel Online Learning Award
Since 1991, ISTE's Telelearning Special Interest Group (SIGTel), has recognized creative teachers for their pioneering use of telecommunication networks to provide innovative learning opportunities for school-age students K–16. Click here for more information. |

SIG Publications and Podcasts: Fall Editions available now
The Journal for Computing Teachers (JCT) and the SIGTel Bulletin have published their Fall issues. Contact JCT Editor John Thompson (thompsjt@buffalostate.edu) or SIGTel Bulletin Editor Dennis Rowen (drowen@pronetisp.net) with submissions. Submission guidelines can be found on their respective websites.
The fifth episode of the JCTE Author Perpsectives podcast series is also available online.
