SIG Officer Elections:  Call for Nominations

It’s that time of year again when the SIG Officers begin their work on establishing a slate of candidates for the leadership of their Special Interest Groups.  SIGs are led by member volunteers who coordinate year-round activities to support colleagues who use technology to advance education. SIG leaders develop and distribute member communications, facilitate networking online, and coordinate professional development activities.

Consider volunteering as a leader by nominating yourself or a colleague for an officer position.

Positions are open in the following SIGS:

The term of office for most positions is two years and begins in June 2009.  More details about the nomination process, the open positions, and officer responsibilities are available at http://www.iste.org/sigs/electionsNominations will be open Monday, January 5 through Monday, February 2, 2009.

Take the "Top Three Ed Tech Tool Survey"

ISTE has been around for 30 years, and during that span some of Ed Tech’s most effective tools have come into common use. If you had to choose, what would you list as the top three most influential tools for effective teaching and learning?

Once we tally your votes, we will post the top five from this survey and let all members rank them. Final results will be published in Learning & Leading with Technology magazine.
