SIG News: January 2008

Welcome to SIG News, the quarterly newsletter for ISTE’s Special Interest Group Program.

Happy New Year to all! 2008 is sure to bring many exciting developments here at ISTE. We're all looking forward to NECC 2008 in San Antonio, and preparations are well underway for what will be a truly amazing conference. SIG Officer Elections are coming up in March, and Nominations are now open. If you are looking to get more involved in your SIG, be sure to submit your name for consideration!

By now you've probably heard about the new upgrades to your membership. One of the most significant changes was the move to make all SIGs open to all standard members. Now you can engage with any topical or occupational area of interest at no extra cost. Simply visit your SIG Manager page to start adding SIGs today!

ISTE launched our first podcast in December of 2007. We're looking forward to bringing you monthly casts with many interesting experts and specialists. ISTE's interns have also been hard at work bolstering our social networking presences.

This month, hear from ISTE Deputy CEO Leslie Conery, about ISTE's higher level activities as they relate to SIG initiatives.

Thanks for reading,

Katrina Svoboda
SIG/Membership Program Manager
