SIG News: April 2009

Welcome to SIG News, the newsletter for ISTE's Special Interest Group Program.
I am approaching my one-year anniversary here at ISTE, and let me say: "March Madness" takes on a very different meaning here at ISTE as staff and volunteers continue the planning for the National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) in June. But NECC is still months away, and ISTE and the SIG Program have many exciting opportunities for you now.
Make your voice heard by voting in the SIG Elections and by participating in our 2009 SIG Survey. We're offering prizes for completing the survey, prizes for entering our Digital Storytelling contest, and a prize for entering an L&L essay contest. In addition to the plans for activities at NECC, the SIGs are organizing webinars and book studies and are soliciting authors for software reviews.
While many of us are focused on preparations for NECC this summer, there are lots of activities still to come this spring. Read on to learn more.
