SIG News:  October 2009

Welcome to SIG News, the bimonthly newsletter for ISTE's Special Interest Group Program.

And a very special welcome to the two new Topic-Level Special Interest Groups approved this month by the ISTE Board.  The new groups are the International Schools SIG and the Virtual Environments SIG.  Please read on learn more about these exciting new Special Interest Groups.

This issue of SIG News also contains an article on 1-to-1 implementation from SIG1to1 member Barbara Barreda, Principal at St. Elisabeth's School in Van Nuys, California.  If you're interested in contributing an article to SIG News or to your SIG's individual newsletter, please feel free to contact me or one of your SIG Officers.

The SIG Program has many great opportunities -- ongoing and upcoming, so stay tuned to your SIGs' wikislistserves, and Ning groups for more information.

As always, thanks for reading.

Audrey Watters
SIG Program Manager
