 Davis Brock
Chairman, ISTE's Affiliate Membership Committee
As the Technology Coordinator for Elmore County Schools in Wetumpka, Alabama, Davis Brock is responsible for coordinating the integration of technology into the school curricula and all administrative technology. Davis states that "technology is an integral part of life for students, so working with emerging technology and students to harness how technology can engage students is exciting. Technology is always changing and what excites me about what I do is having something different and challenging to do all the time. This helps keep me learning constantly and excited about working with students."
Davis is excited to see what is available to students today in the arena of educational technology and enjoys the challenge of providing his students with opportunities and experiences in new emerging technologies.
Davis volunteers his time with ISTE as the chairman of the ISTE Affiliate Membership Committee, a committee made up of ISTE affiliate leaders from around the world. In this role he directs the monthly meetings, activities, and interests of ISTE's Affiliate membership as well as directing the vision of the program. He also sits on ISTE's policies and procedures committee. These roles enable him to meet new people from around the world and get to know them on a personal level. Davis goes on to say "it is exciting to hear what is happening in different regions of the United States and around the world and then collaborate with them via the web when I have a question or need some ideas."
Davis enjoys reading suspense novels and spending time with his family at the beach.
