ISTE Accreditation and Standards Committee
ISTE’s Accreditation and Standards Committee has established and regularly updates guidelines for evaluating university-level educational computing and technology programs in the United States. In 1996 and 1997, the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education approved ISTE’s programs as well as specific requirements for the following endorsements and degrees:
- Educational Computing and Technology Literacy Endorsement
- Secondary Computer Science Endorsement
- Secondary Computer Science Education Initial Degree Program
- Educational Computing and Technology Leadership Advanced Program

ISTE NETS Refresh Stakeholders Advisory Council
The NETS Refresh Stakeholders Advisory Council is a working group of educational thought leaders from around the United States who provide critical recommendations and perspectives on the ISTE standards. The stakeholders work in various content areas, are experts in their fields, and are committed to improving teaching and learning through technology-integrated education. They advise the NETS Refresh Leadership Team on the development of the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS).
