HP Grants in Action
In 2003, ISTE and HP embarked on a mutually rewarding partnership, developing the ISTE Institute. A year later, the first HP Technology for Teaching grants were launched. Since that time, HP has funded more than 1000 projects at schools, colleges, and universities in 41 countries, for which ISTE has provided professional development. The projects have been outstanding, and the impact on teaching and learning is significant. All the successful projects have one defining characteristic – they combine excellent instruction with the right technologies to create innovative learning experiences for their students. It is the intertwining of these two variables, instruction and technology, that makes the magic happen.
The 2010 HP Innovations in Education Worldwide Summit will include representatives from 90 schools and universities representing 23 countries.
To promote professional networking and meet one another prior to the summit, we have created an online community that we will use before, during, and after the summit. Join today by going to www.hpiie.org.
