NETS for Teachers: Train the Trainer Workshop
During a one– or two–day training, educators learn to deliver professional
development related to ISTE's National Educational Technology Standards (NETS).
Educators learn to facilitate sessions where participants "unpack"
the NETS, assess readiness to address essential conditions for technology integration,
and examine research–supported practices for effective instructional planning.
They explore emerging technologies that enhance personal productivity and the
instructional program, and learn to help teams plan steps toward meeting school
and technology integration goals.
Participants will receive a facilitator kit and have opportunities to role–play
"How will this look back at my site?" Through independent and collaborative
activities, they design an implementation plan for delivering professional development
to their colleagues.
