ISTE Leadership Symposium 2005
|
More than 200 education leaders came together during the
12th annual
ISTE Leadership Symposium at NECC to chart a collaborative vision of
21st
century learning, and to advance advocacy work begun at last year's
event.
Futurist Joel Barker (http://www.joelbarker.com/) challenged attendees
to explore possible positive and negative implications of schools staying status
quo in an increasingly digital world. Table groups discussed a wide range of
possibilities, and the process was facilitated by use of an Implications Wheel®,
a tool for strategic exploration. Table conversations were captured using the
tool. Learn
more.
During the second part of the program, attendees contributed compelling stories
from the field that help make the case for educational technology. Learn why
stories matter. These stories will be added to ISTE's Advocacy Toolkit, which got its start at
last year's Leadership Symposium.
ISTE wishes to thank our friends and colleagues at SETDA for their
partnership
in bringing the Leadership Symposium to NECC 2005.
