Now you have a few digital cameras for your classroom, how are you going to use them to engage learners? Using digital cameras can help students observe, conceptualize, visualize, share, and communicate information about the world around them. Digital cameras can be used in literature, history, math, science, and any other curricular area; and, the use of digital imagery can promote visual literacy and help address multiple learning styles.
This Webinar will focus on how digital photography can engage and empower learners; it is not a how-to-use-a-digital-camera seminar. It will showcase a number of digital photography projects ideas for primary and elementary teachers and students including: recording a hands-on project, introducing a curricular unit, creating a virtual field trip, recording community or school projects, gathering data, using photos to illustrate a story or factual report, and much more.
It will demonstrate how to incorporate digital photos into multimedia presentations, web sites, newsletters, launch pages, and thinking webs. It will provide links to free and inexpensive tools for working with digital images. Finally, it will address the need for policies regarding photo appropriateness, as well as the management and care of digital cameras.
This Webinar will also provide you with numerous online resources on digital photography including tutorials, repositories, blogs, search engines, collections, digital camera prices and reviews, and more.
