Join us to discover how Google Earth, a free, bi-platform Internet download that uses satellite imagery, can be used in classrooms to engage and excite learners. This powerful learning tool can help students conceptualize, visualize, share, and communicate information about the world around them. Teachers across the globe have created engaging classroom activities that go beyond geography to teach literature, history, math, science, global awareness, and more!
This Webinar examines how teachers AND STUDENTS can use images (including their own photographs), interactive grids (such as weather and population data), and linked assets (such as digital stories, speeches, and videos) to explore cross-curricular topics and then exhibit their learning to their peers as well as other teachers and students around the globe. The Webinar also provides links to numerous Internet resources for further exploration and user groups already established where teachers post, share, and build upon each others' work.
Learn strategies, see curricular examples, and experience the fun and challenge of using Google Earth to engage K-12 students in active, exploratory, and empowering learning.
