Dave Berque

This webinar presents best practices for 1-to-1 Tablet PCs deployments in the K–12 classroom.  The webinar is appropriate for teachers, staff and administrators, who are considering transitioning their traditional laptop program to a Tablet PC program.  The webinar is also appropriate for educators who are considering building a Tablet PC program from the ground up, as well as for those who want an introduction to options for using Tablet PCs in the classroom.

Dave begins by illustrating the advantages of Tablet PCs as compared to traditional laptops with respect to teaching and learning in a wide range of subject areas including mathematics, language arts, economics and science.  The webinar also provides an overview of Tablet PC hardware options and demonstrates several software tools that can leverage 1-to-1 Tablet PC deployments.  During part of the webinar the presenter will teach a live lesson to several student assistants using DyKnow software.  The webinar participants will see how the students are engaged in a variety of activities including collaborative note-taking, polling, student work sharing, group work, chat, computer monitoring and content replay using this software.
