Are you looking for an excellent alternative and or an extension to your laptop/desktop? If so, then battery-powered computers might be just the answer you’re looking for! Examples include current products such as the Neo, The Writer and the Quickpad, which are all devices that run on AA batteries. One model runs for 700 hours, about a year’s use.

Battery Powered Computers offer unique opportunities and advantages for use in the classroom. These devices are used for teaching keyboards skills, writing and general English skills. Some are now adding maths skills, testing skill and new opportunities are being offered with wireless. These devices are simple to use, simple to learn to use and don’t distract students with too many features – students remain focused on the task and get on with the work. They are lightweight, inexpensive have a long battery life and are extremely robust. Just what the education sector needs.
