Andre Chinn is the Instructional Technology Coordinator at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication, where he has worked for the last nine years on a variety of topics including implementation of electronic portfolios, incorporation of digital video into the curriculum and systems for streaming and archiving live video.
For two decades he has worked in information technology in positions ranging from technical support and software quality assurance at Symantec Corporation to his current position at School of Journalism and Communication where he has lectured on a variety of topics including the use of digital video cameras in higher education curriculum, the evolution of the media and the internet, network home directories in the classroom using Apple OS X server and social media and internet safety.
Andre's strength lies with his ability work as an intermediary between the complex world of technology and those who must navigate that world.
