In his entertaining and inspirational communication style, Bob
McCannon will
offer a vision of the possibilities that we have as a diverse
community to challenge
the messages that are pervasive in our culture about the values,
roles, and
contributions of those in technology professions. Using a multi-media
presentation,
he will talk about developing a clear, positive message about the
importance
of a well-trained, technically skilled workforce. Bob will also
discuss his
successful experiences with campaigns for related social issues and
how we can
create and communicate a powerful new message about the importance of
science
and a technically able workforce.
