Exploring Technology Integration in a Field-Based Teacher Education Program: Implementation Efforts and Findings
Sharla L. Snider
Texas Woman’s University

Abstract
The Learning and Integrating New Knowledge and Skills (LINKS) project is designed to integrate established and emerging technologies into the teacher preparation curriculum at Texas Woman’s University. LINKS addresses the technology needs of preservice teachers by supporting their development as well as the associated development of their mentor teachers and university instructors. This approach is consistent with best practice, and the research conducted to evaluate the efficacy of project implementation within the preservice teacher population is discussed. The project, as well as the accompanying research, is supported by a U.S. Department of Education Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology implementation grant. (Keywords: concerns-based adoption model, field-based teacher preparation, preservice teachers, project evaluation, PT3, technology integration, U.S. Department of Education.)
