Thank You, ISTE Members!

By Jessica Medaille

Each February we pause to appreciate and celebrate ISTE's amazing, dedicated community of educators. In challenging times like these, it's more important than ever to nurture your creativity and energize your perspective. So this year, we in the Membership Development Division thought you might enjoy some quality time focused on polishing your chops as a personal media producer. We’ll automatically enter all ISTE members to win prizes, such as a Flip UltraHD video camera and an 8 GB iPod nano. And we're offering a free creativity webinar! Visit www.iste.org/member-appreciation to learn more about all of this month’s events, prizes, and your 40% discount on all ISTE books.

Free Webinar for ISTE Members

With the explosion of Web 2.0 tools and a host of creativity and productivity software, our digital creativity is limited only by our imaginations. But how do we get started? Attend CDeveloping Your Personal Media: Taking Creativity to the Next Level," a special members-only, free webinar featuring Kit Laybourne, media producer, animator, and teacher of media design at The New School in New York City. Laybourne will share valuable tips and insights for creating your personal media from his new book, Mediapedia: Creative Tools and Techniques for Camera, Computer, and Beyond. Mediapedia is a full-color, hands-on, digital do-it-yourself guide with step-by-step instructions and creative project ideas. (Copies of Mediapedia will be raffled off during the webinar.)
