is Director of Research and Evaluation for Co-NECT Schools,
Inc. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1972 and
recieved a doctorate in education from Harvard in 1990. He
has a special interest in designing processes for shared
educational accountability.

David Moore (dmoore@co-nect.com)
has been teaching third grade using a project-based approach
to teaching and learning at the Gordon Elementary School in
Memphis, Tennessee. He is a site dierctor for Co-NECT. He
graduated Cum Laude from the University of Memphis, and
though he has recieved many awards, he is most proud of his
class winning fourth place in the Memphis City and County
Science Fair.

is the Director of National Program Development for Co-NECT.
A former middle school teacher, then director of a
technology professional development center, in her current
role Diana works with administrators and teachers to help
them formulate the initial steps toward becoming a Co-NECT
School.

Schools. She serves on the executive board for the Kentucky

Academy.

Dr. Joe Utay (jutay@hotmail.com)
is an associate professor of counseling and educational
psychology at Eastern Kentucky University. He helps
counselors use technology to enhance their work with clients
and students. He and his wife Carol coauthored Hurry Up
and Relax: A Guide to Stress Management as well as
several curriculum guides for keyboarding and social skills.

Bob Albrecht (dragonfun@aol.com)
is a writer and developer of science, math, and technology
curricula. George Firedrake is his alter ego and
takes the form of a dragon. Laran Stardrake, whose
quotes sometimes lead of the column, is another of Bob's
"accomplices." She's half dragon and half human. As Laran is
fond of saying, "Reality expands to fill all available
fantasies."

Michael Holinga (holinga@springfield.k12.il.us),
Director of Technology for Springfield Public School
District 186, is one of the principle developers for project
LINCOL'N and an advocate for quality student education. His
current duties include district-level responsibility for
development and continuation of teacher technology training,
the integration of technology and curriculum development,
and the district's science program. Previously, he taught
chemistry for 15 years at the high school and junior college
level.
