Anne (Amy) M. Cox-Petersen (acox@fullerton.edu ) is an assistant professor in the Division of Education. Her expertise is in teacher education, instructional methodology, and curriculum issues associated with science education. She has published articles in the Journal of Elementary Science Education, The Science Teacher, Science Scope, and Informal Science Review. She teaches courses in educational foundations and elementary science methods. She also teaches graduate studies in elementary science education. She taught elementary and middle school students for 10 years in both inner-city and suburban settings before entering higher education. Joanne K. Olson (jkolson@iastate.edu) is an assistant professor of science education. She is the co-author of “The Nature of Science in International Standards Documents” in The Nature of Science in Science Education: Rationales and Strategies. Her expertise is in science education, instructional methodology, and cognitive psychology. She taught elementary and middle school students for five years in inner-city suburban settings.
