Tornadoes

Weather-Related
Web Sites
for K12 Science Lessons
By Juanita Jo Matkins and Denise Murphy

One of the biggest problems with using
the World
Wide Web for classroom lessons is finding enough time to
locate
useful sites. Juanita Jo Matkins and Denise Murphy did the
hard
part for you. They reviewed 30 weather-related Web sites
that cover
15 different topics. For most topics, youll see two
sites:
one that addresses the underlying science topics and one
that offers
an engaging excursion on the topic.
Note. These Web sites were valid when this issue of L&L
went to press. We have no control over these sites, though, and the Web is very
volatile. Please let us know if you find a broken link, and well do our
best to update it. Visit Juanita Jo Matkins's Web site at http://curry.edschool.virginia.edu/~jjm7k
for an updated listing.
