The Road Ahead
The
Road Ahead,
a program of the National Foundation for the Improvement of Education,
provided
support for technology innovations and professional development in 22
school-community
partnerships around the United States from 1995–1997. The Road
Ahead was
sponsored by Bill Gates of Microsoft Corporation.
ISTE conducted formative and summative evaluation of The Road Ahead.
Evaluation
reports are published on the National Foundation for the Improvement
of Education's
(NFIE) Web site at http://www.nfie.org/. As part of
its research,
ISTE also prepared six background papers on issues of importance to
educational
technology and school change:
