Holly Jobe — President

Holly Jobe has been involved in all levels of education, including elementary, middle school, high school, central office, and higher education. Her interests are educational leadership and how educational technology can reform education and fully engage students in taking responsibility for learning.From 2006 to June 2011, she served as the project manager for Governor Ed Rendell’s Classrooms for the Future high school reform program at the Pennsylvania Department of Education.Prior to PDE, she was at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, where she served as a technology specialist and supervisor before becoming the director of the technology program in 1995. In that capacity, she supervised delivery of instructional materials, technical repair, internet services, and technology staff development for the districts of Montgomery County. She was the project lead for several statewide professional development and leadership initiatives, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation State Challenge for administrator technology professional development, Pennsylvania’s Superintendent Technology Leadership Academy from 2000 to 2004, and Getting to One leadership development for curriculum and technology leaders in 2005. Jobe currently serves as president of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) board. Jobe began her more than 30-year career as a second grade English teacher in Beirut, Lebanon, and is interested today in helping educators connect with colleagues around the globe. She has participated in projects, conferences, and exchanges in Australia, Russia, England, Denmark, Czechoslovakia, and Singapore and was a People-to-People Citizen’s Ambassador Delegation for Educational Technology in the People’s Republic of China.
