Tony Brandenburg, Ballarat, Australia

Tony Brandenburg is an educator who has been involved with educational technology for more than 32 years. He is also a member of the ISTE International Committee and wears his ”Making IT Happen” jacket with pride. Along with Helen Padgett, Tony was the facilitator of the sister affiliate initiative between Australia/New Zealand and the United States in 2006. He is a fellow of the Australian Council for Computers in Education (ACCE), the Australian national ISTE affiliate, and is in his second year of presidency with the association. He is a past president of ICTEV, his state ISTE affiliate. Learn more about Tony.

Julie Lindsay is the e-learning coordinator at Beijing BISS International School. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, she has been teaching internationally for more than 14 years in Zambia, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Qatar and China. She is the co-founder of the Flat Classroom Project.

Mahmud Shihab, Beirut, Lebanon

Mahmud Shihab is an educational technology program administrator and webmaster at International College (IC) in Beirut, Lebanon. He works with four multilingual curricular tracks: the Lebanese Program (French, Arabic, and English), the French Baccalaureate Program, the American High School Program, and the International Baccalaureate Program. He also teaches at the American University of Beirut and established the IT program at International College in 1996.

Peter Skillen is currently social media professional development manager for the YMCA of Greater Toronto. He has been involved in teaching for almost 40 years as a teacher and district coordinator. Claudia Uribe de Piedrahita, Cali, Colombia

Claudia Uribe de Piedrahita founded the Gabriel Piedrahita-Uribe Foundation in memory of her son to promote the improvement of primary and secondary education for disadvantaged and underserved children in Colombia and other Spanish-speaking countries through the effective use and integration of ICT in the curriculum. She leads the web portal Eduteka, which is targeted to the Spanish-language educational community.

Terry Freedman, Ilford, Essex, United Kingdom

Terry Freedman has worked in education for 30 years and specializes in ICT. Terry publishes the ICT in Education website and the newsletter Computers in Classrooms. He has given presentations at numerous international conferences, is a member of the British Computer Society and National Association for Advisers in Computer Education (Naace), and is a fellow of Mirandanet and the Royal Society of Arts.
