Description
PBS TeacherLine is the premier resource offering professional development courses online to individual PreK–12 teachers and districts. Specially trained, certified facilitators lead over 90 top-quality, standards-based courses span the curriculum: mathematics, reading/language arts, science, instructional technology, and instructional strategies. Coursework can cover a complete sequence of study or address a specific requirement, depending on a teacher’s or district’s needs. PBS TeacherLine’s courses are developed in collaboration with leading national educational organizations, such as International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and The Concord Consortium, and funded under a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

TeacherLine Collaborations
PBS develops their Capstone online training modules through collaborations with organizations such as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), a National Advisory Board and PBS member stations. Capstone courses feature an introductory self-paced session followed by facilitated capstone modules (teacher and student), online personalized digital portfolio with artifacts and reflections that demonstrate evidence of standards in practice, a library of multimedia exhibits of classroom practice and other relevant professional sources, experienced coaches and guiding rubrics to support teachers' work.

PBS TeacherLine/ISTE Certificate Program
The Certificate Program, created by PBS TeacherLine and ISTE, is an online learning experience that allows teachers to demonstrate their knowledge of technology integration and gain a deeper understanding of the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS•T). Participants earn their Certificate of Proficiency in the NETS•T after completing a self-paced introduction and two “capstones,” which take place within a small cohort of fellow educators guided by an experienced coach. http://teacherline.pbs.org/
