International Use and Translations of ISTE National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) Resources

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S), Teachers (NETS_T), and Administrators (NETS-A) have been used widely in both the USA and internationally. ISTE lists the use of ISTE NETS in the United States of America on a chart entitled, NETS by State Chart. The chart indicates which states adopt, adapt, or reference the NETS-S, NETS-T, or NETS-A.

Additionally, the NETS Testimonial Chart, details examples of many ways different groups have used the standards in their programs, publications, products, curriculum, professional development programs, etc.

ISTE NETS resources are being used internationally as well. Below are some links to NETS resources published for a variety of audiences.

The ISTE National Educational Technology Standards: Connecting Curriculum and Technology document originally in English has also been translated into Mandarin and distributed widely across China.

Translation in Mandarin – includes standards, performances, and lesson plans and unit plans in mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, and foreign languages for grade ranges P-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. A sample from the document is linked here.
