for the media

Learning & Leading with Technology (L&L) is primarily a practitioner-written membership magazine that ISTE publishes eight times a year. Articles emphasize practical ideas and provide how-to tips for integrating digital age skills (NETS) effectively into classrooms, curriculum, and administration. Each edition includes articles focusing on trends and best practices in educational technology, as well as product and service reviews and briefs.

Please note that L&L does not publish the following types of content:

  • Personnel changes
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • District or school news (e.g., districts acquiring new products)
  • Case studies
  • Literature reviews
  • Research articles

PRODUCTS & SERVICES
L&L’s products and services section offers information about new hardware and software, educational services, and resources for learning and teaching. What’s New: What’s New is a compilation of press releases sent to the L&L editorial office. This section highlights new tools, online resources, and solutions for teachers, administrators, classrooms, schools, and districts. The L&L staff does not review these items and offers them without recommendation. Send press releases for possible inclusion to products@iste.org.

Reviews: L&L publishes hardware and software reviews written by contributors or ISTE staff. Please note that editors will not consider reviews written by authors with connections to the manufacturer of the product or in return for compensation from the manufacturer. L&L does not accept unsolicited reviews. For more information, contact the editor, Kate Conley, to discuss your idea in advance (1.541.434.8926 or kconley@iste.org). If you would like to send a demo unit for review, contact our managing editor, Paul Wurster, at pwurster@iste.org.

Buyer’s Guide: L&L’s Buyer’s Guide compares ed tech products, services, and resources. The guide is not all-inclusive. It offers a sampling of what is available. Please note that sending a press release does not guarantee inclusion, as the Buyer’s Guide is not limited to press releases sent to L&L.
