ISTE’s works with educators to help identify effective uses of technology and put them into practice to improve learning and teaching. We help plan, implement, and evaluate the outcomes of educational technology innovations.
How do you know whether your investment in educational technology is improving learning and teaching? ISTE’s research and evaluation department works with you to plan, implement, and evaluate the outcomes of your project.
We work closely with schools, universities, and educational agencies to craft and implement evaluations that are designed to answer your questions and support the success of your work. We have experience working with programs funded by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education, as well as private sector clients such as Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft. We specialize in evaluating:
- Technology integration with STEM education
- Implementation of innovative technology
- Teacher professional development
- Educational learning communities with schools and districts across the globe
Our talented team has expertise in qualitative, correlation, and quasi-experimental designs. We work with a wide variety of data including surveys, interviews, focus groups, classroom observation, learning and website analytics, student and teacher assessments, and social network analysis. We also conduct item analysis for assessment development, and employ appropriate regression techniques for quantitative data sets, including a variety of outcome types and multilevel models.
Working with the ISTE evaluation team will help your program win funding, improve as you go to make the most out of the resources available, and support your future funding efforts.
