Together, we’re developing innovative programs, standards-ready curriculum and helpful tools to drive connected learning and teaching.
Verizon Innovative Learning

The Verizon Foundation

Since 2011, ISTE has partnered with the Verizon Foundation to provide free professional learning to teachers nationwide. Initiatives such as the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools program and the Verizon Mobile Learning Academy offer blended learning opportunities to help educators advance student learning through tech integration. Participants receive rigorous training from ISTE instructors and collaborate within a passionate virtual community.

NASA

ISTE and NASA Education teamed up to create a host of free STEM resources connecting students with NASA’s Magnetospheric Multiscale Mission, which launched in spring 2015. Educators can use these resources to engage students in ISTE Standards-ready research and engineering-design activities, seamlessly connecting them to scientific study with real-world significance. Follow the NASA mission, drive computational thinking skills and teach what it takes to become a citizen scientist with these invigorating resources.

National Academy Foundation

ISTE worked with the National Academy Foundation (NAF), a leader in the movement to prepare students for college and career success, to develop the NAF Verizon Technology Innovation Pilot. This program delivered online and in-person professional learning based on the ISTE Standards to a national team of 14 educators to increase NAF’s capacity to use integrated technology and improve technology use in its curriculum.

Mathlanding.org

ISTE collaborated with Maryland Public Television to provide professional learning opportunities for elementary math educators on Mathlanding.org. These webinars, online discussions, professional learning and classroom resources incorporate the ISTE Standards and best practices for integrating technology into math education.
